The Road Warrior (RW) Preamplifier Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA) is a custom designed circuit board. This PWA is used in the discovery detector module assembly and other PET systems as applicable. The main function of the preamplifier board is amplifying the PET detector signals for transmission to the Raptor sub-system, provide high voltage (-1500 VDC) power distribution to the PET Photo-Multiplier Tubes (PMTs). It is designed to make the high voltage distribution more robust and tolerant of minor fabrication defects. This board is designed for a minimum operating voltage of -1500 VDC. The RW preamplifier PWB is comprised of various components, including a resistor, capacitor, semiconductor diode, amplifier, EMI suppression filter, AMP-TYCO connector, vertical board mount connector, D-sub connector, mounting screws, nut, washer and barcode label. The RW preamplifier PWA meets the test and power supply requirements for in circuit test, passive component test, high voltage with functional test, temperature and humidity test, as described in the environmental test guidelines.
