Product Overview
This Printed Wired Board (PWB) assembly is responsible for 3 main functions: Signal Distribution, Signal Buffering and Status Indication. This board is located near the motor on the source loader and elevator axes in the trailer of the PET gantry. It connects to several different devices associated with axis motion, and provides a single connection back to the PET Source Controller (PSC) board. The PSC provides power to the motion control components, which are connected to this board for the loader and elevator axes. On the loader axis, the device interfaces with the gripper board, M Drive motor, and shield sensors. On the elevator axis, the device interfaces with M Drive motor, elevator sensors, cover sensor, and encoder. The Printed Wiring Assembly (PWA) also buffers the signals to guarantee the correct signal level to the M Drive: cover/shield sensor, home sensor, and top/pin proximity sensor. This assembly also indicates the state of home, proximity, and shield or cover sensors, and 48V signals. This Printed Wired Board (PWB) assembly is used in the Kitty Hawk PET/CT Program.
