Product Overview
The Superbee Manual Collimator is the device used in X-ray that focuses a light beam to be aligned to a different direction, making the two parallel. The collimator has improved the image quality of X-ray beams to reduce the patients risk factor. It is important for patient dose and image quality. After collimating the volume of interest reducing the overall dose to the patient and minimize the radiation risk and low volume irradiated, it will result in a low X-ray scatter incident on the detector. These improves contrast and image quality. The collimator controls the spatial cross section of the light beam to make a straight path, while the collimator aligning the detector under the X-ray beam is made easy with a center laser line. The overall operation is done by manually process by adjusting the angle of 180˚ and the important safety measures are filtration, which is an aluminum filter that is used in the manual collimator. The Superbee manual collimator is used in X-ray machines like XR Proteus, XV Innova 4100 and XF Precision 500D.
